Tory Lysik is passionate about reporting on the criminal justice system and criminal law. She is the assistant editor at D.C. Witness along with being a 2021-2022 Poynter-Koch Media and Journalism Fellow. Tory is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with political science and journalism degrees along with a certificate in international media. In the past, she served as the managing editor of the CU Independent, a college newspaper. She also interned at the Boulder Daily Camera. Her work has been published in a variety of news outlets including Colorado Politics.
When not working you can find her hiking with her dog or rock climbing.
